Bideford School Pastors are available at the end of the sch
ool day around the campus and in the town to support vulnerable young people; caring, listening and helping on an individual basis.

We first deployed School Pastors in December 2011 and are currently recruiting more volunteers so that we can expand the service.
School Pastors must be over 18, an established Christian church member and able to commit to one afternoon 3 hour duty each week during term time. Full training will be given and a uniform supplied. Ability and commitment are the criteria for selection. We will take up references and CRB checks.

Bideford School Pastors is a new project to engage with young people to encourage their development in society.
We recognise that some young people have difficulties in establishing effective relationships and this impacts their social development in society, at school and at home.
